We have an ongoing situation in Cirencester with the unlawful closure of The 12 Bells. One of our members has had a response from the office of our local MP, Roz Savage, an extract of which is copied below: –

I’m writing with an update regarding your concerns about the closure of The 12 Bells pub in Cirencester. Following our enquiry on behalf of Roz Savage MP, Cotswold District Council has confirmed that there is an active enforcement case open regarding the potential unauthorised change of use of the premises (reference number 25/00007/COU).

The Council’s Planning Enforcement Team has been in contact with the property owner and will be visiting the site as part of their investigation.

If you would like to receive updates directly from the enforcement team, you can contact them via email at Planning.Enforcement@cotswold.gov.uk  quoting the reference 25/00007/COU.

In order to show a higher level of interest it would be good if CAMRA members could email the address and reference above stating our disappointment that the pub remains closed and asking to be kept up to date by the Planning Enforcement Team.

Please keep any emails polite.
